Odd back story to a man all found odd in our building. And just to be clear there is a pattern of behavior called ODD, its called oppositional defiant disorder.
The man who was in his eighties appeared to have some form of dementia, and assumed to have systems of behavior separate from the probable character of that person in his prior cognitively healthy life.
I exhaust all this dance of words because the movie "Green Book" has become controversial, and actual scholarship has evolved to historically debunk the merits of the way the relationship of the two main characters were depicted, so to describe further one of those characters, the effort may wonder into public testimony territory, which is always the unintentional artifact, of publishing a piece of information which may now have historical interest.
So to come to the point, I was amused to find out that that person (a fixture sitting in our lobby) for some years before 2013 was the man Green Book was based upon.
And so , older folks with very interesting histories of achievements may have those characteristics masked by the infirmaries acquired in old age.
