1Corth. 3-----Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave each one. I (Paul) planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase---So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God gave the increase."
This morning I clicked on my fb account and started with a personal message to a friend then started reading the post----something different here this morning, rather than the normal stuff everything carried a positive message or a message to kick the ole brain in to gear. Then I got to thinking of the above Scripture and saw or understood something I have never seen or understood before, allow me to share-------one plants a seed, this would be sharing in thought, word or deed, or doing a Christ like deed to or for an unbeliever....something you or I may do in our daily rounds and never know we planted anything ---- just like planting a seed, we dig a little hole and drop in a seed and cover it up and walk away-----then the water part----I thought of the person who somewhere in their heart has had the seed of Christ planted, maybe that seed was just a was passing thought to an unbeliever , maybe it was a good deed. maybe just a friendly greeting, but the seed would be any Christ like act we showed which was inspired by Holy Spirit . Just as God grows the seed in to a beautiful plant of its kind, so God grows the seed in an unbeliever's heart...Now this morning it was the watering part that grabbed my thoughts....just for thinking purposes---The (seed) Gospel of Jesus Christ has been being spread for over 2,000 yrs and today we see the ole devil more active in our world than ever-----this made me wonder how we Christians are doing our job as Watering personnel or what just are we watering.
-----now we also know the ole devil & his workers are in the seed planting business also, now looking at the evil in the world --that evil which many call good today---it raises the question of which seeds have the Christians been watering over the years. HUMMM!!
We are in the seed and watering business, whatever we do in thought--word-- deed is the planting or watering of a seed----I suppose a little self examination is in order to find out who we been planting & watering for.
