Well, companies dont just check NO because they're running late.

GNBT is filing a disclosure item. That particular part sends a message to shareholders/investors as to any significant change from the previous fiscal period

Investors make decisions based on SEC filings, which have to be relied upon. If there is a significant change, after disclosing there wouldnt be, they could face regulatory & civil liability at a minimum
