Correct... the settlement date of your trade does not mean the date you bought. The trade date is the date of record and the ex, meaning too late date was yesterday.
The hoard of scalpers on a one time 16% dividend will always cause the rush to the exit and over time I have noticed it never works to be impatient to get out. It could take days, weeks but the market will forget the generousity of JILL BOD and will go back to giving it value based on fundamentals, which are good.

That said retail is challenged these days. JILL has a niche which involves less on line only business.

Plus return customers who are sure of their size can buy from their great web site.
