When Christians are BEHEADED by Muslims and other groups do you find extra security at your church?

Do the neighbors line up giving you hugs?

Do you feel when something happens far away from you that your tax $$$$$$$$$$$$ should go for cops sitting around?

PC CRAPOLA has no bounds!

I'm sorry they were killed also but at the same time I'm sick & tired of this double standard in this country for any group other then Christians.

I don't give a rip who doesn't like me saying this I speak up telling it like it is because we have so many worthless so called MEN who are to gutless to do so anymore.

And yes, I know God's word says things like this will happen.
I also know no where in his word states you should sit back saying nothing being a PC WEAKLING!

Community members rally around local mosques after New Zealand mass shooting
by Jennifer Sullivan | KOMO NewsFriday, March 15th 2019

SEATTLE — As members of Seattle’s Idris Mosque walked through the sunshine and into Friday’s afternoon prayer service they were met with a line of people holding up signs.

Signs offering love, peace and compassion in the wake of the mass shootings in New Zealand were held high. One woman’s sign read, “You are my neighbors. I will keep watch while you pray.”

“We just want to extend peace. This is just so horrible to hear that this happened,” said a tearful Beleszove Foldanya, who lives near the Northgate mosque. “They deserve to worship in peace.”

Foldanya said she showed up on her own. Soon others, including Tamara Osborn, shared the sidewalk with her. They hugged two women walking in for the prayer service.

“I’m heartbroken at what happened in New Zealand and the hateful rhetoric that’s escalating in our country and around the world has to stop,” Osborn said. “This has to stop, it can’t keep happening.”

Two rabbis and others from nearby Temple Beth Am stood near the front steps of the mosque.

“When the shootings happened in the Jewish community certainly it was almost a visceral connection, but certainly I felt more strongly about this one in Christchurch because that was so recent,” said Terri Pollock, a member of Temple Beth Am.

Brenna Louzin, who also attends the temple, said she wants members of the mosque to know “we love them and we need to stand up for each other.”

Seattle police circled the mosque throughout the day, a cruiser was parked in the lot throughout the afternoon prayer service.

Hashim Chothia, who attends Idris Mosque, said he texted Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best after the mosque shootings in New Zealand expressing his security concerns. He said she promised to offer support.

“I appreciate the presence of our neighbors here also the Seattle Police Department,” Chothia said.

In Tukwila, police were present when mosque members attended service Friday, in Sammamish officers were also there. The King County Sheriff’s Office and Redmond police said they increased patrols around mosques as well.

In Sammamish, neighbors joined police to keep a watchful eye while mosque members prayed.

“We want to stand here and let them know that we will help welcome them into their mosque and make it feel like a safe place because that was taken away yesterday,” said Megan Anderson, who lives in Redmond. “We want you to worship in safety and in freedom.”

Deeegna Musse, who attends the Sammamish Mosque, thanked the strangers who offered kindness.

This is the time we all need to come together and support love and unity,” she said.

Ned Vulvnic, who attended the Idris Mosque’s afternoon prayer service with his two-year-old son, was surprised by the support.

“I feel really great and I’m really happy to see ... it’s an amazing day,” he said.

In South Seattle, at the Al-Noor Islamic Center, Wasarme Roble said people were afraid to come in to pray Friday.

“Whenever sad things happen people are extra vigilant,” Roble said.

Roble said when he heard about the shooting he was stunned; when he heard one of the two mosques attacked is also named Al-Noor he was in disbelief.

“It’s just like me, I found myself dead. I just assumed I’d been sitting there, somebody’s spraying bullets on me, you know,” Roble said.

Roble and fellow mosque members said they had increased security Friday like the other mosques, but a big focus in the future is trying to unite the community.

“Let’s heal, let’s pray for the injured, pray for the dead as well,” Roble said.
