I also hope that the judges will finally see the difference between capital and credit.

I also have my doubts as to why the rating agencies still give the MBS the best rating - especially as the Treasury's credit line can be withdrawn at any time.

In 2008 we had a different starting position: at that time there was reason to fear that FnF would go bankrupt. The conservatorships with their SPSPAs, providing for a credit line, were a blessing for MBS investors.
