The days of biotech's doubling and tripling overnight are largely gone, unless do to a buy out or stellar sales. I say this because biotech's and pharma are under major government scrutiny, which causes investor concerns, so that keeps the market optimism down. I have noticed with several biotechs that have good news (other than FDA approval, other than a major partnership, other than a buy out) are not getting the boost in share price as compared to previous years.
