Easy answer: because a few shares are being bought at the ask. That's what makes a stock go up.

But try selling your position. You own a few million shares? Try selling those at the bid. This thing will drop 10% in a minute on one of those orders alone. Try putting those up for sale on the ask: it becomes a wall, and the MM's immediately drop the stock 8 to 10 points EASILY.

While the stock keeps going up, and it feels good to be "up" on paper, it does no good if you can't actually sell your shares for a nice profit. That's what I'm talking about...that's why I don't like how this stock is trading. There's not a way to actually lock in profits without making the stock drop very quickly. So to me, it doesn't feel like real profits yet.
