KB Home (KBH) reveals stock option backdating; Chairman and CEO Bruce Karatz retires, effective immediately

The Los Angeles, California-based KB Home (KBH) announced the results of its options investigation and several changes in its executive positions. The company noted the investigation by its Audit and Compliance Committee into past stock option granting practices has concluded that the company used incorrect measurement dates for financial reporting purposes for annual stock option grants during the period from 1998 to 2005.
