Kim and Jon recognized early on that high quality fresh mulberry leaves are an absolute necessity to control the quality and consistency of our silkworm fiber output in the KBLB supply chain. Granulated ground up dried worm chow wasn't going to cut it.

Hi Yankee,

This quote concerns me a bit when it comes to domestic production and potential armed forces contracts. I think this was touched on in the past but I don't recall the answer. Are our armed forces mandated to purchase products made/produced in the US? If the KBLB/Army relationship were to continue to grow, could "we" import silk produced in Vietnam to meet the criteria of the actual garments/products being produced in the US if, in fact, this is a requirement?

Thanks in advance for your help and input!
