I thought we where arguing simply COC or MOM vs a poly liner, hence why I`m glossing over the dangers of metallosis etc.

I dont think liner wear is simply to due with hardness value

We're dealing with plastic that fails just sitting there due to oxidization. Failure in plastic due to oxidization is completely different then failure due to tribological wear. I can recognize what caused failure. That pic of the liner failure I just posted looks like tribological wear. The dust left in that ford window motor is failure from oxidation. That 8 year hip failure from a dog I posted here has signs of tribological wear but no complete oxidation failure. Lends credence to the ideas i'm posting about mohs hardness.
