yeah ok. That proves it lowers oxidation of plastic that helps prevent it crumbling to dust when it gets old. It does not change the fact it's low on the scale of mohs hardness aka soft. Hard things are better bearings since they produce less wear. Hence why silicon nitride is a superior ball bearing compared to metal bearings but more costly. They resist wear due to being a harder material. The only reason I'd drop in a plastic bearing or gear anywhere in a mechanical design is to create planned obsolescence. I designed it to fail on you to up charge you down the road on replacement or service.
