Clement is a founding partner of Block45 Legal and Harvest 360 technologies. He specializes in acquiring, licensing, valuing and selling all forms of intellectual property. With the cannabis industry rapidly maturing, Mr. Hayes provides expertise on intellectual property assets and how they increase a company's value in a merger or acquisition.
Prior to forming Block45 Legal, Mr. Hayes was an Assistant Program Coordinator at University of Colorado Health, Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation (CeDAR) and worked at the first large law firm in Denver to provide legal expertise in the cannabis industry. With over five years of experience in both THC and CBD, he brings a unique perspective as a biologist, registered patent attorney and experienced corporate attorney.
Clement holds a degree in Evolutionary Biology from University of Colorado-Boulder and a Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from St. Mary’s University School of Law. During his time at St. Mary’s, he served as the Editor in Chief of the St. Mary’s Law Journal on Legal Malpractice and Ethics and was a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Edward C. Prado of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
