Hewlett-Packard Co. will offer the chip in high-end PCs in late November in the U.S., but only in built-to-order models. In Europe, it will offer the chip sooner in a limited number of PC models.

Considering the low volume of A64 in Q4, I´m not surprised about this. I´d be looking for more design wins once it ramps up. And yeah, it´s funny that the availability of the models in the US coincides with the P4 EE shipment date.

One important thing to watch will be if positioning A64 slightly above P4 will work. What´s special about "INTEL inside" if you´re basically hard pressed to find any models WITHOUT? AMD has the unique chance of positioning their A64 brand above the INTEL one, as a premium product with unique capabilities for those who don´t want what basically everyone has. I hope they can use that unique opportunity.
