My thinking is more in line with any OM drug that proves beneficial will end up allowing patients to be treated longer before dropping out of their cancer therapy.

It's difficult to say what the reality is other than knowing that many patients drop out of their treatments due to OM.

Hopefully, both therapies end up bringing value to patients.

I would use word presumed. As in "it is presumed that GC4419 has anti-tumor effect". So far no evidence of this has surfaced from either phase I trial or from still ongoing phase II.
