Nah I think, given Zimmers long history here, they wanted to slow progress more than anything. Gives them time to develop competing tech or execute M&A to shore up business like Stryker & Smith/Nephew did/are doing. Medtronic is very diverse so it's better prepared. Depuy has parent J&J to hold its hand and help line business up.
