I think a better way to understand it may be to look at it like this! The MM's are the facilitators of EVERY transaction! When you want to buy stock, your request gets dropped on the BID! When you want to sell stock, your request gets dropped on the ASK! My mental note is you "ASK to SELL and BEG to buy"! That helped me understand the L2. If I'm wrong please call me out on it! It may explain why I have done nothing but lose money every since I have been trading LOL!
