One good thing about having your own well though is that you do not have to buy the water. Just the electicity to run the well. Also, you are not limited in times of a dry periods say if your water came from a lake and came via canal. If the water table at the lake reaches a minimal point and you are in a drought they will ration your water at that point. So it is a more stable water source for irrigation.
