Kmart -- Not Sears -- Has The Better Chance Of Surviving
To wit, his concept to shrink the company to growth has failed everywhere it’s been tried, and his statement to the WSJ that Sears doesn’t need new customers is no way to revive a business. Rather, he believes things will be just fine by doing more business with the customers it already has. From a man that Warren Buffett called a “smart guy,” can anything sound so dumb?
That is the very reason why Sears has little to no hope of surviving. “In five years nobody will be talking about Sears,” Wimer predicts.
