I'd guess, here, most shares have been held for over a year.

Who wants to pay short-term taxes on potentially huge gainers?

I certainly did not when my less-than-bargain Avinir Pharmaceuticals (AVNR) shares were bought out by juggernaut Mizuho for $16.

Handily ended up in a different Zip Code.
