In technical analysis VHF indicator could be interpreted in several ways:

* VHF values could be used to define the degree of the price trending - high VHF readings point to a strong trend and they suggest using trend-following indicators. Low VHF reading suggest weak trend and side-way ranging phase and they suggest using trend-ranging indicators. The higher VHF readings are, the stronger trend is.

*VHF could be used to spot periods of trend developing. Such, rising VHF readings reveal a developing trend and falling VHF readings point to the possibility of entering a congestion phase (side-way trend).

*VHF could be used as trend-predicting indicator as well. As a rule, side-way trending could be witnessed after high VHF values and strong trends could be expected after low VHF values.
