Today's Sigmatel IPO PR was posted in #msg-1466918 to which I was responding. It is also available here

If you read this press release it is all about factual things and does not include any Safe Harbor disclaimer or cautions about forward-looking language whatsoever.

This is in stark contrast to the fluff PRs so typical of e.Digital, the vast majority of which have not had any financial significance at all to the company.

The BIG difference is that Sigmatel is a profitable company and succeeded in the business that e.Digital targeted back in 1999. Sigmatel proved that they are doers whereas e.Digital seems to have proven that they were just talkers.

IMO, if (or when) e.Digital fails, the epitat should be

"When all was said and done, more was said than done."
