Thx so much ONEBGG, it works great...
It took about 3-4 minutes for the app to shorten the chosen video (a 1 minute section from a 10 minute video).
A download button was also provided for easy saving to my machine...

Eli's Gone on the Computer Learning (HELP) board supplied the site link for saving the
original video to my computer.

I'll spend some time at the site you provided to see if I can by-pass
the need for downloading the full video to shorten it directly from U-Tube.
