- Court noted, Mr. Chen was supposed to file a report. Mr. Santos indicated he had the report and was prepared to file it; however, he needed to add additional information regarding Mr. Chen being a United States resident and further issues involving an audit. Court inquired what it should do if Mr. Chen isn't obeying the Court orders which were outlined in the November 7, 2018 minute order. Court further noted, Mr. Chen wasn't present today and didn't file an order on February 6, 2019. Mr. Santos further indicated Mr. Chen had hired him and he would make sure he is here; however, Mr. Chen might not have understood that he needed to be present in court. Mr. Santos noted he believes Mr. Chen was under the impression if he hired an attorney and the attorney was present, he didn't have to be; however, he also dispatched an assistant to be present in the courtroom. Mr. Santos informed the Court Mr. Chen had a trip lined up to go back to China next week. Court informed Mr. Santos to notify Mr. Chen that, if Mr. Chen wanted to continue to complete this case he had to obey court orders; further, Mr. Chen didn't show up last court date or today. Court advised Mr. Santos to convey to Mr. Chen that was not wise. COURT ORDERED the instant matter was hereby continued, and that Mr. Chen s presence shall be required at said continuance date. COURT FURTHER ORDERED, Mr. Chen shall be required to file a report and pay $1,000 to Nevada Legal Aid prior to the continuance date, or the instant case would be dismissed for failure to comply with multiple court orders. 2/20/19 9:00 AM CONTINUED- STATUS CHECK: REPORT OF CUSTODIANpissed of the Judge again.
