From the polling data I've seen, the #1 concern of voters on Nov 7 was the overwhelming corruption in the Rep party - the Jack Abramoff/Ralph Reed scandal reached deep into the Rep party and although at times it appeared the public was not paying attention, apparently they were. Iraq and divisive governing were also major concerns.
The torture issue MUST be addressed. The next Congress must also address The Decider's ability to pick anyone off the street and charge them with being a suspected terrorist and deny that person the right to an attorney.
There have been so many abuses by this admin that the Rep congress condoned. We had a Congress who only worked 98 days/yr and gave The Decider a pass on just about everything; it will take time to clean up the mess.

I understand Sen Carl Levin (D-Michigan) plans to hold hearings regarding our pre-emptive invasion of Iraq - hopefully he will get to just why we lessened our military concentration on Afghanistan, OBL's hideout, and found it "necessary" to invade the 3rd world country of Iraq. I want to know the names/corps of the energy czars at the meeting with the Veep shortly after the 2000 election. So far those names are "classified" - Why?
