Did I Read the article wrong? It didn't seem like a good one for KBL....Thoughts?

I believe they were speaking of the Army's work with Randy Lewis:

Spider Camo? USU Awarded Army Funds to Produce Heat-Resistant Fabric-Dec. 16, 2015

A promising solution is to replace troops’ conventional nylon gear with clothing made from synthetic spider silk fabric. To this end, the U.S. Army has awarded Lewis and Salt Lake City-based Technology Holding LLC a $1 million Small Business Innovation Research Phase II contract to continue research and development of fabric manufactured from silk produced at USU.

From what I was made to understand, I believe the shoot pack panels KBLB shipped to the Army, have yet to be tested.

The latest military article posted by jose speaks volumes (I believe only three days old):

UNDER ARMOUR: THE US ARMY’S NEW SOLDIER PROTECTION SYSTEM

Whitehead notes that the developers are also looking at the use of next-generation Kevlar and even biologically engineered spider silk. The US Army is currently working with Kraig Biocraft Laboratories to develop a strain of genetically engineered silkworms for protective textiles.
