I don't know about that.

If the principal even does more prison time, I don't expect it to be more than a couple of years again. Way bigger fish don't spend any prison time in the pinks.

First off, there's a huge amount of money stolen from unsuspecting investors, many of whom blew their life savings on the scam.

And he ran a fraud from prison, where he was serving time for a different fraud.

The sheer complexity and timespan for this scam (we're in what, the 6th year now?) should seriously up the harm level; as shajandr has demonstrated, amount, complexity, number of victims, and prior convictions all add significantly to the sentence.

Lastly, his behavior during his last trial, where he had such contempt for the court and the prosecutions that he completely ignored his obligations under the deal for his guilty please, was so bad that I can't imagine any prosecutor cutting any sort of deal with him again.

I expect a 100-count indictment, and the government will press every single one. It might take the better part of a decade to happen once the trials start, but I fully expect a 20-year sentence, if not more.
