Here is my take on it. When news comes out, the MMs are at the top feeding shares to an excited retail until they are ready to blow it to the floor, stealing all of retail's money through panic selling and SLs. MMs sit at their bottom and recollect the panic sold shares. Now, the MMs are going to blister this up on the symbol change when MANY MANY traders are unable to put their sells or buys in for a couple of days. By the time they can trade again, MMs have pushed it to the top and will have another panic sell take place. Classic move. Thus all the professionals on the message board, wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more
