This is a tech company but it is more about retail sales. The tech is just the engine that keeps it running. That's what is important for now. That does not mean that they will not develop products that will be marketable in the future. Their mainly focussed on developing what they need as a company to set them selves up for continued expansion. Getting their own platform and allowing them to separate from shopify would be massive and I believe that it is in the works.
If they did not have the tech side then they would be relying on someone else to develop what they need. At a much greater cost. I have said it before. I think that the purchase of Findify is what will help to succeed.
