CARLSBAD, Calif., Feb. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- OPTEC International, Inc., (OTCQB: OPTI) today announced, the company launched production models of the 2019 All-Terrain Tri-Wheel OPTEC ZUUMER EMT & Law enforcement all electric zero emissions rapid response commercial scooters.

OPTEC International, Inc., the exclusive distributor of the OPTEC Fuel Maximizer, will now include the OPTEC Zero Emissions Scooters to their exclusive USA distribution agreements.

The 2019 patented electric scooter technology was recently acquired by Optimized Fuel Technologies and is currently in production at the company's Carlsbad, CA facility. The "Cadillac" of scooters have been previously purchased by southern California Law Enforcement and EMT divisions and rigorously tested and proven for over 4 years. The new OPTEC rapid response Scooter has a 40 Mile Range and 30 MPH capability on a single battery charge and is equipped with 2 Lithium Ion batteries on board giving double the range capability.

Optec International is debuting the EMT rapid response scooters at the renowned "EMS TODAY" expo in Maryland, February 20-22nd 2019. Optec rapid response scooters will be exhibited at OPTEC booth # 1919.

The EMS and law enforcement networks have already shown a significant interest in acquiring the rapid response scooters to reduce emergency response times in crowded events and disaster relief areas.

Optec International is projecting significant revenues in 2019 from the sale of the scooters based on current inquiries from Municipalities and agencies across the country.

The tremendous growth of the Electric Micro Mobility sector has not gone unnoticed by some of the largest transportation network companies and holding companies. According to Bloomberg, Uber and Alphabet, Inc has invested $335 million into partnering with Lime, an electric scooter company and a UC Davis study now shows these new micro mobility technology markets are approaching a Trillion Dollar Market. Both Uber and Lyft also launched electric dock-less scooter rideshare programs along with FORD Motor Company's recent purchase of SPIN scooter technology for over $100M and General Motors participation in the light electric vehicles market.

In Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sacramento the frequent and rapidly expanding use of the electric scooters is reported to have a noticeable impact on reduction of vehicle traffic congestion and at the same time helping global effects of vehicular emissions reduction.
