You bring up a very good question.


Why is it that some Subsidiaries/Affiliates of a
Parent/Holding Company enter into bankruptcy
with the Parent Company and others do not?


Is it only the Affiliates which are not profitable -
Liabilities exceeds the Assets - that join the
Parent/Holding Co in bankruptcy?


Plus what if SHC chooses to convert to a
Chapter 7 Liquidation? What happens to those
Affiliates not in bankruptcy?


I have never researched the above for answers.
