The production line sure looks a way off from being at 15-20 cars a day that would be needed to produce 5,000 in a year.
The biggest thing they didn’t show is the production facility where the all the fibreglass bodies and chassis are built.
How many molds do they have?
How long is the whole process from mold preparation, layup, etc.. though to the cured product coming out of the mold and painting is complete.
In my opinion, this will probably be the limiting factor for maintaining production levels, once the initial supply of molded parts has been used up.
The other big unknown is still can they make them for less than they have committed to sell them for.
As much as Jerry has hyped the sales numbers, he essentially admitted on a recent Facebook live video that they would be at break even in 2019. For someone who likes to push the boundaries of future looking statements, publicly projecting to break even is a little worrisome.
