I think that this is an important discussion to have with investors and Mutual Fund Managers. I ignored ETFs until this URA issue impacted my UEX investment. I did not like what I saw and the more I look into it the less I like ETFs although I don't really know if they all behave in this same fashion. I recently heard a commnet on TV that ETFs are subject to re-balancing though.

To be fair, so are Mutual Funds but at least then the re-balancing is done on a basis that is similar to what you or I would do as Individuals at our time of choosing based on our DD of current market conditions and not on the basis of some unknown or entitity that decides what an index should or should not look like.
