I suggest one company that will clearly become a part of the “conglomerations of companies” Doctor Dalton recently commented on is Physician and Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (PPSI) a WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY OF UNIVEC THAT PROVIDES PHARACEUTICAL SAMPLES AND SAMPLE DISTRIBUTION TO PHYSICIANS AND PATIENTS. Refer to post #39445 --- the system developed.

Security Biometrics, Inc. (OTCBB: SBTI), a leader in biometric signature authentication solutions powered by Penflow(TM), announced its subsidiary -eMedRx(TM) Inc, (USA), formed a strategic alliance with Physician and Pharmaceutical Services (PPSI), a subsidiary of Univec, Inc. (OTCBB: UNVC).

This alliance offers the industry's first practical application of electronic medical prescriptions geared to eliminate fraudulent Rx's as well as medical errors due to interpretation of physician's handwriting. This increased level of scrutiny offers the prescribing physician assurances that the proper medications are being dispensed to patients and allows the patient a short duration medication to test for side effects and potential allergies. The eMedRx(TM) solution is the first system that provides an actual electronic copy of the physician's signature that can be authenticated and transmitted using advanced encryption techniques.

The eMedRx(TM) electronic medical prescription will reduce prescription errors and allow physicians to transmit legible, safe and secure prescriptions. The additional security provided by the eMedRx(TM) technology using advanced encryption techniques, will capture the physician's biometric signature for the protection of the patient's privacy and provide a secure authenticated transmission to the pharmacist. A similar program will be implemented in Canada.
