13:56 ET - One problem for mall owners trying to work through the Sears bankruptcy is when they will be able to take possession of the real estate the retailer still controls. Macerich owns six empty, former Sears stores in joint ventures but can't touch them yet, since the bankruptcy court hasn't rejected the leases. "We have plans for all of these locations with a wide range of opportunities, including demolishing the box and repurposing the square footage with more productive uses," CEO Thomas O'Hern tells analysts on a 4Q earnings call.
