NBC REPORTS PATIENTS ARE BEING DUPED OVER CBD

CVSI is included in the comprehensive television reporting airing tomorrow.

CVSI was not mentioned at all in this article, nor was a list of products tested published. GRAS (even self-GRAS) certification guarantees the product is what it says it is, and CVSI has the QR codes on the products so the consumer can scan for the tests.
The "Duping" is referring to "scam" products. Vendors selling sub-part products. Several patients are sited as stating they take CBD, and it helps them manage their illness. Never does the article state CBD has no benefits.

I think, investigations like the one done by NBC6 is needed in this industry. I think it will only help CVSI, CW and other reputable CBD companies; it is educating consumers to really shop for their product and know what they are getting. Green Roads was the company highlighted in this article.

The closing says it all:

What to Watch Out For

Experts recommend when buying a CBD product, check to see if the company does testing and ask for current test results.

Some companies, like Green Roads, put a testing bar code on all of their products. It's a code you can scan with your cell phone that will take you to the test results for the product you're buying to see the levels of CBD inside.

Experts say, even if a product doesn't have a bar code, consumers should look for a CBD product that has a batch number on the label so it can be tracked to where and when it was made. Most companies should have test results on their website that can be matched to that batch number and product.
