Of course the VM method will work.

The software will be sandbox. All methods of checking via software will come up empty because the Guest OS running on the VM is clean.

You are basically recording/taking pictures your entire desktop plus VMware Workstation/VirtualBox/Insert VM flavor here running ARALOC that running is on a clean OS. All ARALOC screen capture prevention will be contained/target to VM Guest OS. There will be not be any checks on your host OS. ARALOC software wouldn't be even install on your host OS to prevent anything.

Since you did this method already, why did it not work?
