True story here...the spring of my freshman year in HS...during Spring break when I lived in Ft Knox...a good friend and I went camping at a Lake owned by the base...some of the Boy Scouts also camping on the other side of the lake had stolen some of our snacks...FIdiots dropped one of their scarfs so we knew it was them...

so that night...after they went to bed and only the leaders were sitting around the camp fire shooting the bull...we SLOWLY snuck around to the other side of them ...we were going to egg them...I know silly but...

it was very slow going as it was very quiet and with crunching leaves we didn't want to be heard...we weren't worried about being seen because it was very dark out and they were all looking into the fire..brilliant

we heard the crunching of leaves from something walking about 10-15 feet behind us so we froze...a minute later it went past us not very far when it let out a blood curdling scream...Mountain Lion...Son of a biotch...of course the leaders were now standing and looking our way but they still couldn't see us but it scared the HELL out of us.

It kept going...we got close enough and unloaded our eggs...we took off and hit the road around the lake...we made it to our tents well before the scouts...when they ran up we just let them know two big burly guys just ran by...LMAO
