The Arkansas Children’s Hospital is ranked among the finest pediatric hospitals in the nation, and is among the top ten largest pediatric facilities. Established in 1910 as the Children's Home Finding Society, it is devoted solely to children, from birth to age 21. It is the only pediatric hospital in Arkansas, and is a private, non–profit institution. The medical staff treats patients from all counties in Arkansas, other states and countries, and receives more than 10,000 admissions, 185,000 outpatient visits, 31,000 emergency room visits, and 4,800 ambulatory surgeries per year through the hospital's 70+ specialty clinics.
