I'm not overly confident the price will hold in the $1.65 area from this news alone, but I am extremely hopeful of the price action to come when they announce independent lab results confirming in-house research on WP1066. I took rather detailed notes from their 12/12/2018 conf call regarding WP1066 possible implications in pancreatic cancer:

"...let's not believe the stuff from our own sponsored research, let's see if someone else can reproduce that same data independently. So we contracted out to an independent lab with their own models for such combination evaluation. We are eagerly awaiting the results, expect to be talking about it in 1st qrtr 2019. We think that confirmation changes everything for Moleculin. {Wow, pancreatic cancer!!!}
It starts logically with, who is probably the most logical, collaborative player out there? because of the existing IND, with very limited administrative work, 1066 could be pushed into any combination trial with a check-pt inhibitor that we want to, in very short order. We're sorta plug-n-play in conversations with big pharma, but we don't want to start those conversations until we have the confirmatory data."

So when they announce they have the "confirmatory data" and are talking to "big pharma" about partnering, watch the price jump.

And of course, as history likes to repeat itself, watch the latest public offering follow the price jump in short order.
