The company is TGOD Hellas, a subsidiary of Canadian TGOD Inc.
Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food, Vassilis Kokkalis, met with TGOD Hellas CEO Marko Anastasiadis on Thursday (24/01/2019).
The company is planning to build in a 120 acre area in Thebes area, a large-scale Cannabis Production and Processing Unit, in phases. The facilities of TGOD in Greece will be built according to the GACP and eGMP standards of the Canadian and international facilities of the company and will follow the same organic farming protocols. Growth is expected to begin in early 2020 and will create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs for the Greek economy.
TGOD intends to also engage in partnerships with Greek universities to fund scientific research, aiming to make Greece a global innovation center for cannabinoid-based medicines.
Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food Mr. Kokkalis pointed out the great investment interest and assured that these efforts contribute to the development of the sector in Greece and have its full support as well as the staff of the Ministry.
