Alright back down the rabbit hole here.

We currently produce silicon nitride for use in our commercial products and product candidates in the following forms:

Silicon Nitride Coating. With a similar chemical composition as our other forms of silicon nitride, this form of silicon nitride can be applied as an adherent coating to metallic substrates, including cobalt-chromium, titanium and steel alloys.

We are incorporating our silicon nitride technology into silicon nitride-coated metal components and solid silicon nitride components for use in total hip and knee replacement product candidates that we plan to develop in collaboration with a strategic partner

So I guess AMEDICA has the capability of coatings since I doubt theyre lying to the SEC. Just none of it is on an actual product. Why where they not coating US spine screws and just letting their equipment sit there and rot? No clue. But I thought about digging into WHO is funding research into coatings to try and get to the bottom of who is interested. Maybe we can find this strategic partner.

The big one that sticks out here is Othon Monteiro from Plasma Applications Group, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Who else is listed here as FUNDING THIS??

Who funds Berkeley National Lab? the DOE! you might remember them from such films as Ceramatec.

We'll use this as an example:Flexbone, notice the .gov?:

Looks like it was developed in a national lab and kicked down to Department of Orthopedics, University of Massachusetts Medical School for testing. But who funded that? Looks like a bunch of Research support and grants from NIH. Unfortunately this looks about where the trail stops cold. No huge line of products by major corporations developing anything using the IP of Flexbone.

So I kind of doubt there's a secret shadow team of researchers developing along side Amedica (Now heres where the doubt kicks in)
that amedica pays for. Looks like the government pays them in the best interest of health or something according to Berkeley National labs own mission statement. Tax money well spent IMO. These tax dodging megacorps I consider an enemy. Dumb as the day is long also.
