sricket: If one reads the patent and the SEC filings, it's very clear that the statement you have posted from e.Digital's website is wildly embellished. MicroOS is NOT technically an operating system, but is firmware and it does provide intrinsic security. If you read the statement your posted, it simply says MicroOS can "integrate" security systems. However, I find even that statement to be embellished.

NFFS/MicroOS is ONLY about one specific method to write to flash memory. That's it.

Perhaps you are not aware that information posted on websites is not held to the same standard of truth as are the SEC filings.

If e.Digital has a proprietary operating system, it would be explained in the SEC filings. However, the SEC filings make no mention of any operating systems available for license. The applicable reference is to "firmware."
