Imagine if I told by bosses about a project I was working on was due to be completed by the end of 2017. Every time the boss asks about it, I have an excuse as to why it was not completed. Blaming other people, running up the company credit card and not producing results. Here it is 2019 and I missed my new dead line by the end of 2018.

Part of being a professional is understanding the business you are in and the timeline to complete those projects. If you say the delay is in the hands of others, do something to help.

This is a publicly traded company, not a lemonade stand. They are dealing with multi-million dollar accounts and living off ever increasing lines of credit. Sooner or later they need to produce.
