Hi Golfbum22,

what about this letter?

U.S. Senators Brown, Cortez Masto, Van Hollen and Warren and U.S. Representatives Waters, Clay, Cleaver, Green, Maloney, Meeks, Pelosi, Sherman, Vargus and Velazquez sought and obtained permission to file an amicus brief in the Fifth Circuit defending Congress’ choice about how to structure FHFA as it did and arguing that FHFA is constitutionally structured. A copy of the Members of Congress’ amicus brief is attached to this e-mail message.

Bradford posted this today. Any thoughts?

Here are my thoughts:

1. Mnuchin says: FHFA is unconstitutionally structured. Asks for a re-hearing en banc.
2. Otting says: FHFA is unconstitutionally structured. No defense in this question.
3. 14 Members of Congress say: FHFA is not unconstitutionally structured. Submit amicus curiae letter.

? Is that a help from friends - amicus curiae? No. It's a stab in the back.
? Is the issue important at all? Perhaps more than we thought.
