Android mirror – it will actually tell you who’s the fairest of them all

In this modern time, we are witnessing that more and more of common items are getting digitalized. The concept of smart home from science fiction is slowly turning into reality, as more and more everyday home appliances are getting the smart makeover, from the juicer to the loo. The companies are literally racing in who will make the crazier smart device which is controllable by voice through any possible combination of smart devices and AI assistants. Many companies, including Apple and Samsung, presented and announced all kinds of smart home devices at this year’s CES, which further proves their ambition to be an important factor in homes of the future.
The company called Capstone Connected Home is responsible for one of the most interesting announcements at CES, which is related to a smart mirror. As any other mirror, this one has reflective qualities so you can use it to gaze at your own facial features, but underneath that reflective layer, there is a display.

However, this mirror is not based on Google assistant or Alexa, like most of the interactive displays, but actually runs on true Android, with all the Android features like access to the Play Store. This mirror does have full support Google Assistant and you can interact with it by voice commands. This might be a great opportunity to revive the scenes from the Snow White with Google Assistant in place of the magic mirror. The mirror also supports touch, but we don’t think many people would use it that way.
Except for these two methods of control, the Capstone Smart Mirror also has an interface which looks like a big tablet and can be used independently as an entertainment device. There are many ways to use a hub like this in the bathroom, some of them more decent than others.
We’re still don’t have any info about the price, but what we know is that Capstone Connected Home wants to put various models and sizes to sale this year.
