Eh I suppose. Very inaccurate numbers and terms within this bk. This isnt simple because they've been out of 7bil in fees since all this started.

I believe they are paying down debts to a more manageable size to structure a new company where creditors own majority of the company. (Similar to neuberger berman)

A 150 bil write off alone imo is enough to trigger some sort of distraught in the U.S financial system.

The new company only sounds logical. Lehman cant repaid debts? Ok then work. Creditors own the new entity, making revenue and getting ROI through the years to come.

Lehman is a shell with NOLS. That is one thing everyone on this board knows. Fact

One thing shell companies often do is merge into something else. I watched China hustle on Netflix and got some insight. Fact

Nols are a valuable "asset" that are often used to merge companies. Fact

"POR states NOLS will be eliminated" "the what?" "Plan of reorganization" "reorganization??" "Yes" ....

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/reorganization.asp

Reorganization is an attempt to extend the life of a company facing bankruptcy through special arrangements and restructuring in order to minimize the possibility of past situations reoccurring. Generally, a reorganization marks the change in a company's tax structure.

Generally, a reorganization marks the change in a company's -->tax <--structure.

Maybe that's where LBHI plan tax group got its name from.
