I am suspecting that Scottrade allowed UNGS/GCAN to be shorted and when TD Ameritrade bought them, they bought the problem. That is why you now see TD Ameritrade charging $625.00 to get the restrictions removed. ETRADE did it for FREE! Other brokers did it for FREE also. I have never heard of one broker charging such an outrageous fee when other brokers did it for free. The one thing TD Ameritrade knows is no other broker will make an in kind transfer of penny stocks so those who don't pay, don't get unrestricted shares. They are being held hostage. Now remember, we should not even be having this discussion because UNGS was never going to issue GCAN divies and then when those GCAN divies were actually issued, they would never become full trading shares. ROFLMAO!!! JMHO
