FEMA updated their maps to show flood zones. My home and property have changed to flood zone AE, which is apparently not good... Lol
My mortgage company, PennyMac, told me I had 45 days to get NCIP approved flood insurance. State Farm (my insurance company) does not offer it. They ran it through the place that they could get it from and came back with a price of $3071.00 per year. I ended up finding a place FloodSimple.com , but they declined and sent me to BetterFlood.com , and now it's all taken care of for the small price of $892.00..... just another unexpected expense.. Such is life....Good thing we have unlimited overtime where I work at the moment. Lol
