Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC)

I spoke to TDAmeritrade, and they were very vague about when blank values in customers brokerage accounts would be replaced with GBTC holdings, saying " GBTC is currently undergoing a name change & cusip change: It's being displayed by its current cusip number until the new shares are delivered to TD Ameritrade".
I note GBTC is being traded today elsewhere. The Yahoo stock app on my iPhone shows volume today of more 160k shares as of this writing. My understanding is the GBTC ticker symbol will remain the same. Surely Ameritrade must be able to display more than just blank spaces where missing stock values used to be. In response to the question "When exactly will some acknowledgement of my gbtc shares re-appear in my account," the Ameritrade rep said" At this time we do not know when the new shares will be paid out. When the new shares are delivered, they will be posted to your account. I'm sorry I am not able to give you an exact date or time. Damn. Well maybe somebody should make a call so something definitive could be posted or emailed. Surely customers are not accustomed to seeing blanks of missing data on their Ameritrade screens where their money once was. I wonder if the other brokerages are handling this better than Amertitrade.
